The session was moderated by Mr Pasquale Staffini, Head of Roads Division, JASPERS, European Investment Bank.

Ministers were invited to share their views and explain the current challenges facing their countries and the solutions they are implementing.

The session was structured into two round tables:

• Ensuring safe and efficient winter road service to users
• Delivering winter maintenance in a context of sustainable development and climate

 Participating Ministers were:

• Japan – Mr Masafumi Mori, Vice-Minister for Engineering Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism
• Lithuania – Mr Rokas Masiulis, Minister of Transport and Communications
• Montenegro – Mr Osman Nurković Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs
• Poland – Mr Andrzej Adamczyk, Minister of Infrastructure
